MEET THE MINISTRY LEADER

Thressa Olivia Dorsey, is the wife of her high school sweetheart, Tracy L. Dorsey and the proud mother of two children: Anton (deceased) and Alaina. She currently serves as an ordained associate minister at the Divine Wisdom Christian Center Baptist Church in Randallstown, Maryland under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. Ruby C. Gilliam.

Thressa received her call to preach the good news of Jesus Christ at the Morning Star Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop Dwayne C. Debnam.

At Divine Wisdom, she leads the Congregational Care Ministry, preaches as God and her Pastor provides opportunity, teaches, is a member of the Marketing Team, ministers through dance, and willingly prays for others. She graciously serves in the kingdom wherever she is needed.

Thressa is the Founder of A Listening Heart Ministries, based on Proverbs 23:19 NLT, “My child, listen and be wise: Keep your heart on the right course.” She believes everyone has ears to hear, but not everyone has a heart to listen. God placed this ministry in her heart to offer a listening ear to people and was started after the sudden death of her son, Anton in February 2013. Family means everything to Thressa as she does her best to love and encourage those around her. This caring attitude reaches beyond her family unit and extends into her role as Godmother to a host of many.

Thressa has a passion for seeing people achieve their God-given purpose and live to their highest potential for which God created them. She is privileged to be used by God as a Personal Development and Spiritual Healing Coach. She shares from the topics “Your Life Is Speaking But, Are You Listening?”, “Releasing Your WoWWW Factor/Becoming A Woman of Worth, Wisdom and Wealth!”, and “Remarkable Woman of Faith – Life Lessons Study.” She believes in and stands on the promise of God’s word in Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Thressa is currently working on the release of her first book entitled, “Remarkable Faith: Moving Your Faith from Ordinary to Extraordinary!” Thressa received a certificate in Biblical Studies in July 2005 from the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship School of Ministry. Successful completion of theological course work at the Determined Biblical and Theological Institute, provided foundational training Thressa needed to minister to the masses. She is grateful and blessed for being a vessel God can use.
